Recap 2021

Aloha!

I hope you had a great NYE and start the year with your loved ones!

2021 was a bit different from the last years, since I didn’t shoot as much a full-day wedding days, but I had more couple shoots and elopement type of sessions, where we have more time to be creative and adventurous. On the wedding days, time passes quickly so we don’t have much time for the couple, so I truly enjoy the documentary aspects of the day. On the other hand, non-wedding day couple shoots are definitely much more relaxed and they could be more out-of-the-box kind of experience. I will share the stories of adventure shoots in the near future.

Here are some highlight of the year 2021!

  1. I shot 165 gigs in 10 month! (I was away for 2 months for vacations)

  2. Domestic business trip got resumed - I shot weddings in California, Oregon, Colorado, Texas, Illinois and Maine, an elopement in Maui, family shoots in Texas and California, and a commercial shoot in New York

  3. I got to work with big companies including Booking.com and Google

  4. Got a Mavic Pro 3 (huge upgrade from Mavic Pro!)

  5. Taught photography skill and photography business courses online, and also in NYC

  6. Learned some Spanish for traveling

  7. Traveled to south America twice - in Peru and Ecuador and enjoyed nature, street and wild animal photography

  8. Decided to start a new business on the hike in Peru, and planning to start offering motorcycle tours in summer!

  9. Got a house with two coconut trees and a home studio

  10. My sales are back to almost normal this year despite continued COVID!

I am grateful that the year 2021 was fun-filled year with various photo shoots and traveling to new places. I got to meet lots of new people, exchanged our philosophies and shared the beautiful moments throughout of the year. I wonder what this new year will be like, but I am sure that it will be another great one =) Thank you so much all for always loving and supporting my journey evolving each day. I wish you all the great year ahead of you. Cheers!
